Rotary Club Tripunithura Royale Marks a Milestone in Community Service Through Global Grant Project
The Rotary Club Tripunithura Royale, in association with the Rotary Club Melawati, successfully inaugurated its Global Grant Project today at Sree Venkateswara School, reaffirming its commitment to supporting children living with Type-1 Diabetes and their families.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Hon'ble MLA Deepak Joy, who officially inaugurated the project in the presence of several Rotary leaders and distinguished guests. Among those present were Rtn. Jayashankar, Rtn. Ramesh Kongatil, and Rtn. Anoj, along with other dignitaries from the Rotary fraternity and the community.
The event witnessed the active participation of members of Type-1 welfare associations, children living with Type-1 Diabetes, their parents, healthcare supporters, and members of the Rotary Club Tripunithura Royale. The gathering served not only as an inauguration ceremony but also as a celebration of hope, care, and collective responsibility towards improving the quality of life of children managing this lifelong condition.
A major highlight of the project was the distribution of more than 180 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) devices to Type-1 diabetic children. These devices will significantly help beneficiaries monitor their blood glucose levels more effectively, reduce health risks, and enable better diabetes management, thereby enhancing their overall well-being and confidence.
This Global Grant Project stands as a testament to Rotary's vision of creating sustainable and impactful change in communities. Through international collaboration, dedicated leadership, and a shared commitment to service, the initiative aims to ease the challenges faced by children with Type-1 Diabetes and their families.
